So today, I decided to do something awesome with my time. That was well firstly, write a blog which I obviously havnt done in a long time. But today I decided to do something usefull with a pad of paper and a box. What could that be, a prayer box.
In this book called Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, she writes about a charecter having this prayer box where she writes a prayer on a piece of paper, and sticks it in the Box. Every few weeks she looks in the Box and pulls out a few and if God answers her prayer, she praises Him. And if He hasnt yet, she put it back in the box and continually prayed for it.
I had attempted at this after I had read it for the first time, but I didnt follow up. But on Christmas my mom gave me in my stocking a little box with all these papers in them. I had absolutly no use for it, but I knew God wanted me to use it for small little prayers to Him everyday. I immidately started filling it out and writing all these things that I wanted to praise God for, or ask Him for.
And just like my pastor said this weekend, that if I ask God for something, he will give it to me. Because He loves me, and wants me to be satisfied. This obviously doesnt mean I will get everything I ask God for, but He will listen and know whats best for me.
Since I have only made it today, I am waiting for God to answer my prayers, and I cant wait to see what God has for me for my life. I know this isnt some long blog about a verse, but its a practical way to visualize God answering prayers, or seeing God know whats best for me in not answering prayers.
I pray that all of you will be encouraged by this and make your own prayer box, it doesnt even have to be a prayer box, but just remember to go back on prayers and praise God for what He has done in your life!
Philipians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
